The 11 Best City Centre Mirdif Restaurants (Must Try!)

City Centre Mirdif is an airy and elegant shopping mall accessible from Sheik Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in the upmarket suburb of Mirdif.

With over 400 shops and more than 70 eateries, you are sure to satisfy your hunger for shopping or dining.

While a food court serves popular fast foods, the mall also houses charming cafés perfect for family breakfast and several fine dining restaurants for date night. Let’s investigate the best 11 restaurants in City Centre Mirdif.

1. L’ETO

One of the most beautiful and popular eateries in City Centre Mirdif, L’ETO offers instagrammable breakfasts, lunches, cakes, and pastries.

You’ll be attracted to this café by the abundant greenery, warm, elegant interiors, and the gorgeous display of cakes and pastries.

The breakfasts at L’ETO are legendary, with over 20 items to choose from. Our favorite is the scrambled eggs and burrata, which are rich and creamy, and topped with savory mushrooms.

They have several versions of Eggs Benedict, luscious saffron French toast, and traditional Arabian and English breakfast plates.

After walking off your breakfast in the mall, go back for a coffee and cake. L’ETO specializes in unusual coffee blends and serves leaf tea. Their iced teas are fruity and fabulous after navigating the designer stores.

The café serves delightful cakes ranging from cheesecakes to chocolate cakes, sponge cakes to carrot cakes, and macarons to meringues.

They have a fine selection of low-calorie, gluten-free and vegan options, none of which make the eater feel deprived, as is often the case with special diets.

L’ETO is an oasis in City Centre Mirdif, where your senses will be refreshed.

2. Gazebo

Gazebo is a surprisingly affordable Indian restaurant chain that serves the best biryani in Dubai. A bold statement, yes, but you haven’t tasted their succulent Murgh Hyderabadi Biryani.

With its elegant interiors, Gazebo’s Mirdif branch welcomes you into its warm ambiance.

Apart from the biryanis, there’s a detailed menu covering fresh salads, spicy soups, tasty starters, and indulgent main courses. Their wide variety of bread is baked fresh, and portions are generous.

Biryanis are served in traditional clay pots, with a bread lid sealing in the rich steam. We’ve tried several, and each has been a glorious mix of rice, spices, and tender meat.

If you’re not a hardcore biryani fan, try the Gosht Galwati Kebab, Murg Seekh Bharwan, or Paneer Kurkuri. Their Murgh Maskawala (butter chicken) is rich, creamy, and a family favorite.

As is appropriate, dishes are highly spiced, so ask your server for mild flavors if you can’t take the heat.

3. Amazigh

Amazigh is an upscale modern restaurant serving authentic Moroccan food, recently opened in City Centre Mirdif.

The mystic allure of Morocco welcomes you into this opulently designed restaurant, decorated with modern art juxtaposed with traditional décor and intricate mosaics.

Visit Amazigh for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or special afternoon tea, served only by reservation.

Enjoy traditional breakfasts from different regions, including the Shamali, Rabati, Amazighi, and Fassi platters. Their Shakshuka is delicious, and there are also alternatives for vegetarians.

Their salads are a specialty,  including ingredients like kale, peppers, beetroot, butternut, cheese, fruit, and nuts. Choose an authentic grilled eggplant Zaalouk salad or order the Mazzah Platter, which comes with your choice of four salads.

Morocco is famous for its tagines, and Amazigh doesn’t disappoint. Their Laham Tagine features succulent lamb cooked with sweet prunes or the Tajine Samak with tender seabass drizzled in chermoula sauce.

Finish off with the delicately flavored desserts, exotically spiced with rose petals, almond paste, and orange blossom.

Their platter of mixed Moroccan sweets is a good choice, and their Warm Semolina Cake with saffron, cardamom, and white chocolate is a revelation.

Amazigh is the only Moroccan restaurant in the Mirdif area, so it’s worth visiting the mall just for this beautiful eatery.

4. Bosporus

A branch of the uber-popular Turkish chain, Bosporus won the Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best award in 2021.

Bosporus in City Centre Mirdif lives up to its slogan, “Your bridge to Turkey,” serving authentic Turkish cuisine in Ottoman-inspired interiors.

The menu is vast, from breakfast to mezze platters, soups, grills, kebabs, seafood, and sandwiches. Nonetheless, every dish tried is delicious, full of flavor, and generously proportioned.

Bosporus’s breakfasts are renowned, and you need to experience their Al Sultan Breakfast Platter at least once in your life.

The platter comes with eggs of your choice, fresh bread, borek, cold meats, a variety of cheeses, olives, mixed pickles and vegetables, dried and fresh fruit, several sauces and dips, as well as Turkish tea and fresh juice.

Fit for a king, this breakfast feeds four quite comfortably.

Great for families, there are smaller breakfast items and many options for lunch and dinner. Their kebabs are worth mentioning, particularly the Adana and Iskender Kebab. Finish off with their signature baklava served with ice cream.

5. PF Chang’s

A favorite on the Dubai family food scene, PF Chang’s consistently delivers excellent Asian food, whichever branch you pop into.

The Mirdif City Centre branch is gorgeously kitted out in red and gold, with the signature giant horses (symbolizing strength) welcoming you.

Their best-seller is the Dynamite Shrimp, which are crispy, succulent, and spicy, all at the same time. Another great starter is the Chicken Noodle Soup, which can feed four but can be finished by one greedy person at a sitting.

Go for flavorsome Orange Chicken, a winner in the main dishes. Try the deeply savory Mongolian beef or the incredibly tender brisket if you prefer beef. The Singaporean Noodles are also fantastic.

There are also superb dim sum and sushi, with all food being hand-made fresh every day, using many of the recipes from the original restaurant, which opened in 1962.

PF Chang’s is a chain like no other, as the food quality is fantastic, the servers are well-trained, and the mocktails are delicious.

6. Hitchki

The Bollywood inspiration is evident in Hitchki, a casual eatery serving modern global Indian cuisine at affordable prices.

With its glittering lights and quirky touches, the restaurant’s interior reflects the eclectic menu, where traditional and regional dishes have delightful contemporary twists.

Each dish is exquisitely presented, often with a humorous or surprising element (food served in a lantern?). Fans of Instagram click away before eating.

For starters, the Chaat of Hindustan is delicious, and the Calcutta Pani Puri shots are a must-try.

The Pav Bhaji Tricone is superbly flavored, whether you include Butter Chicken or not. Their take on nachos and cheese fondue is unique – you must taste them.

The Butter Chicken is always popular for mains, as are their perfectly grilled lamb chops. Wash it down with their interesting mocktails, some of which include tamarind, masala, and guava juice. We love the fruity Minion and the He-Man.

Their Chocolate Lava Kulfi gets full marks for fusion cuisine. The Falooda Freakshake is a meal in itself – kesar pista kulfi, milkmaid, rose vermicelli, basil seeds, and nuts create a towering and magnificent shake.

Go and take some photos, but dig into the food afterward. It’s not just a pretty face.

7. Solcasa

You’ll think you’ve been transported to Italy when you enter the courtyard-style restaurant with its archways and conifers. Solcasa is a new Mediterranean eatery inspired by the flavors of Spain, France, and Italy.

Open for breakfast, Solcasa offers lazy weekend meals, including delicious Blueberry pancakes. You can have a fry-up, while there is a halloumi version for herbivores.

For lunch or dinner, try the Solcasa Caprese salad with locally sourced stracciatella or the luscious Artichoke and Shallot tart.

Their signature is sharing platters for the main course, where a dish serves two generously. Enjoy Seafood Paella, Beef Bourguignon, or a lovely vegetarian moussaka. The menu also features tasty burgers and sandwiches.

Stop off during your shopping spree for one of their specialty coffees and desserts. The Baked Ricotta Cheesecake is recommended, while chocoholics must sample the Maldon Sea-salted Chocolate Tart.

Note that the menu changes seasonally, depending on local suppliers.

8. RX Apothecary Café And Kitchen

With its beautiful art installation, “the Mystic Chains,” you can’t help but gaze up and around RX Apothecary Café’s stunning interior. The ceiling art contains 30 000 chain links, representing each of Mirdif’s residents.

Community, wellness, and a shared experience underpin this eatery’s vision, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance.

Serving all-day breakfast, light meals, and a wide selection of pastries and cakes, the restaurant is often running a queue.

Their breakfasts include healthy options (such as an Acai bowl) or the totally indulgent Nutella French Toast.

The Blueberry and Cheese Toastie is delightful, and the Saffron Milk Cake will satisfy the sweetest tooth. The menu also includes a delicious variety of refreshing juices and hot and cold beverages.

RX Apothecary Café and Kitchen’s cheesecake is a major drawcard – try the Cherry Cheesecake Cruffin.

After your meal, buy cookies, chocolates, and coffee beans to enjoy at home.

9. Ocean Basket

Ocean Basket will satisfy your hunger if you crave tasty, budget-friendly seafood. With its cheerful, casual vibe, the eatery serves a variety of fresh seafood, sushi, and mezze.

A Mediterranean-style chain restaurant, Ocean Basket was started in Pretoria, South Africa, in 1995 and now has branches in 16 countries.

From the beginning (I was at their original Menlyn Park restaurant), their signature dish has been the Famous Fish and Chips.

Served in a piping hot pan, this dish consists of flaky hake and a generous portion of fries (which you can swap out for rice).

If you’re starving, tackle one of the seafood platters piled with mussels, prawns, fish, and calamari drenched in their luscious lemon butter sauce. You can indulge in a platter for one or have a sharing platter with family or friends.

There are smaller combo platters if you want to combine just two types of seafood, and platters of prawns, ranging in size from the regular 12-prawn special to the massive King prawns, up to 10 in a portion.

Great for family events and fun for a group of friends, Ocean Basket is a perfect choice for fish.

PappaRoti is one of those restaurants I keep visiting, drawn back by the warm, comforting butter buns.

Their unique coffee-coated buns are the highlight of the menu, and the process is simple: choose a bun or traditional kunafa and order a coffee alongside.

The fun part is choosing the bun’s topping: some purists passionately argue for the plain buns, but you should also consider trying each of the flavors: strawberry, chocolate, hazelnut, toffee, honey, Nutella, pistachio, cheese, or biscuit butter, with or without nuts.

Ice-cream stuffed buns, frappes, milkshakes, juices, and iced coffees are also available.

All coffee is certified Fair Trade, with Arabic coffee and tea also available. Choose a combo that provides a warm beverage and a plain bun.

If you need a pick-me-up after doing the groceries or window-shopping, take a seat at PappaRoti and treat yourself to a bun.

  • Opening times: 10:00am-11:00pm

  • Address: Level 1, North Entrance

11. Sushi Art

Sushi Art’s Mirdif branch offers the same affordable, delicious, and aesthetically pleasing Japanese food you expect from this brand.

Regarded as one of the best of Dubai’s many sushi restaurants, Sushi Art has a welcoming ambiance and a well-curated menu.

The sushi is worth the accolades, although traditionalists might feel the addition of cream cheese, smoked salmon, and cooked fish inappropriate. The sushi platters are freshly prepared, generous, and ideal for sharing.

The signature sushi rolls are also worth ordering, as are the bento boxes for lunch. The salmon platter, samurai rolls, and tempura rolls are recommended.

Meals come standard with salads and soup. To supplement your sushi dinner, try the gyoza or the selection of poke bowls. If you have any space left afterward, the mochi is gorgeous.
